2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Knights Valley
The grapes that go into each bottle of Perfect Season are meticulously grown in our Bidwell Creek Vineyard and cultivated to the exacting standards of our winemaking and viticultural teams. At harvest, grape clusters are picked by hand and placed in small micro-bins to prevent skins from rupturing. In the winery, whole clusters are first sorted, removing any damaged or imperfect ones, and gently crushed and de-stemmed. The resulting individual berries are then hand-sorted again before fermentation. In essence, each berry used to create Perfect Season has been personally selected by our team. The 2016 vintage of Perfect Season Cabernet Sauvignon was handcrafted by winemaker Philippe Melka from grapes farmed by viticulturist Jim Barbour. In its youth, it benefits from 3 hours of decanting. We hope you enjoy! 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. 250 cases produced
2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Columbia Valley
We are pleased to announce the release of our 2016 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley. 2016 marks the 38th vintage of Quilceda Creek since its founding in 1978. Since the beginning, our family has been singularly focused on the pursuit of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon.
The 2016 vintage was stellar due to warm summer growing conditions and cool temperatures in the fall, which extended hang-time and developed complex aromatics and flavors. Winemaker Paul Golitzin describes the wine's texture as luxurious, with layer upon layer of rich and concentrated crème de cassis, blackberry and black plum fruit coating the palate with a deep, memorable impact. Nuances of violet, anise, leather, dark chocolate, black truffle and minerals can also be found in this incredibly pure wine of great power and finesse. It will drink well on release and over the next 2-3 decades.
2016 Cabernet Sauvignon
On a rocky knoll that once lay beneath the surface of a crater lake formed by the cataclysmic eruption of a young volcano lies Rewa Vineyards. The site’s 9 million years of geologic history guides today’s viticulture and winemaking practices, honoring the dissected topography of volcanic tuff, river-worn cobble and volcanic bedrock. Handcrafted by renowned winemaker Celia Welch from grapes grown by Mike Wolf, Rewa Vineyards’ small lot wines reflect the specificity of its place in Coombsville. Grapes are harvested by hand and delivered to the winery where clusters are sorted, removing damaged or blemished ones. Individual berries are carefully chosen by optical sorter, ensuring each grape that goes into Rewa Cabernet Sauvignon is perfect.
Grown in one of the cooler AVA’s of Napa Valley, 2016 Rewa displays aromas of fruit, earth, spice and herbal notes that are so tightly intertwined, it is difficult to separate them. The wine is very aromatic, but the cinnamon, nutmeg, anise, spiced plum, sweet leather, toasted oak, vanilla, tobacco and sage notes are all in balance, with no one aspect of the wine dominating the others. At entry, the flavors show focus and intensity, with the bright fruit acid adding lift while the earth and oak tones provide base notes for balance. The tannins are present but show some resolution and blend nicely with the fresh plum and berry notes which add length to the finish." - Celia Welch, Winemaker
2017 Savigny-Les-Beaunne
Les Dessus-Vermots and Les Gollardes are two lovely white Village appellations in Savigny-lès-Beaune, which sit side by side at around 300 meters above sea level when one leaves the center of Savigny and climbs up towards Bouilland. These climats face south, the most favorable orientation, and benefit from the protection of the valley. The soil here is gray marl and limestone-rich “white earth”, resulting in very mineral characteristics. “From the quarries of Savigny, they used to extract blocks used in chimneys, slabs, etc.,” wrote Dr Denis Morelot (1831). “This sums up the virtues of Savigny: these wines can stand alongside the best wines in the whole of the Côte d’Or. They are firm, forthright, full of fire and bouquet, and they have the precious advantage of keeping for a long time.” (Taken from Statistique de la Vigne dans le département de la Côte-d’Or, Dijon and Paris, 1831).
2017 VOUGEOT "Clos du Prieure" Blanc MONOPOLE
Though Vougeot is best known for the highly reputed Clos de Vougeot, covering almost 51 hectares, the Premier Cru and Village appellations in the remaining 16.5 hectares should not be forgotten. Connoisseurs yearn for this wine, from vineyards in such a fabled position.
2017 PINOT NOIR "Terres de Famille"
A powerful and serious red Burgundy, this is a blend from two parcels in Gilly-lès-Citeaux, near the domaine’s base in Vougeot, and two parcels in Beaune. It layers rose scents and flavors of cranberry and anise over substantial tannins, the structure sophisticated and firm.
2017 SAVIGNY-LES-BEAUNE "Les Marconnets" 1er Cru
Relatively deep colour. Ripe red fruit (cherry), light, well-integrated wood on the nose. Full mouthfeel, reasonably powerful, nice fat. Closely-integrated effort with fruit in the fore. A generous, rich Savigny displaying real presence.
2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru “Clos de Thorey” Monopole
More animal and mineral than fruity, this wine needs long exposure to air for the detail in its gentle tannins to become apparent. There’s a cherry-leaf greenness to the black-cherry flavor, turning toward smoke and gravel as the structure takes shape. For the cellar.
HENRI MARIE BRUT JURASSIQUE CREMANT DU JURA
Combining the elegance of Chardonnay, the finesse of Pinot Noir, and the structure brought by a touch of Trousseau the Henri Marie Brut Jurassique Cremant du Jura is the perfect aperitif or to accompany desserts with its radiant bubbles that catch the eye and refresh the taste buds.
2017 SAINT-AMOUR
We all recognize that this most Northern Cru bears a name which is gentle to the ear and to the heart. It is the wine of poets and lovers. If it did not exist, life would be a little less charming. The wine is named after the village of Saint Amour. Before that, a long time ago during Gallo-Roman times, a centurion named Amor with the Theban Legion, was stationed in the Valais region of Switzerland and was martyred for his Christian faith. In all evidence, the ways of lovers, with their pleasures and sorrows, are rarely easy.
2017 MORGON "Cote du Py"
The Morgon AOC has 6 distinct climats - Les Micouds, Corcelette, Douby, Les Grands Cras, Les Charmes and the most famous "Côte du Py." The soil of the Côte du Py is made up of broken up schistous rocks. The manganese and iron-oxide found in the granite of the Côte du Py gives the wines its characteristic structure.
2016 BROUILLY "Reserve de Chateau
WINEMAKING

The tannins are soft and balanced and the wines show a touch of minerality.
2016 BROUILLY "Grande Reserve"
WINEMAKING
Gamay grapes were 100% de-stemmed. Fermentation lasted 26 days and included pump overs and rack and returns. The wine was aged in neutral oak for 12 months.
NOSE
Strawberry and blackberry aromas emerge with a note of toasted coffee bean.
PALATE
Powerful and linear palate supported by elegant tannins. Black fruit and mineral flavors are followed by a long and supple candied fruit finish.
2017 CHABLIS "Vaillons" 1er Cru
The last official premier cru list was established in 1986. There are 79 named plots covering about 1483 acres. The Chablis producers decided to regroup them to promote only 17. The vineyards producing premiers crus are located on both sides of the Serein River around the villages of Chablis, Fontenay, Maligny, Chichee, La Chapelle-Vaupelteigne, Courgis, Fleys and Beines.
On the left bank of the Serein, in the middle of the slope, located southwest of Chablis, the 260 acres of the Vaillon Premier Cru are particularly well-exposed and enjoy an excellent reputation.
2017 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Blanc
This appellation is distinctive in that it is considered a regional appellation, even though it only covers a specifically-delimited area. The vineyard is located parallel to its Côte de Nuits equivalent (to the west), albeit at a higher altitude. The soil consists of limestone resurgences that are well-suited to Chardonnay and give the wine its character and great freshness. The area planted with Chardonnay is a mere 300 acres.
2017 BOURGOGNE ALIGOTE "Les Mutots"
This regional appellation is harvested in all Burgundy. The appellation has about 3,459 acres. The Burgundian soils are mostly limestone with a good proportion of clay but the variation from a village to another can be decisive for the characteristics of the wine. Although Chardonnay is the most common white variety, winemaker Grégory Patriat decided to vinify old vine Aligoté with the same care as a fine Chardonnay. The Aligoté vines of "Les Moutots" have an average age of 50 years old and display extraordinary minerality and freshness.
2017 POMMARD "Les Charmots" 1er Cru
With our "Cuvée Signature" wines, you enter the world of premium Burgundy wines proudly signed by Bouchard Aîné & Fils. Characteristic features of these wines include year-round monitoring of individual vineyards, low yields and limited bottling runs. A showcase for Bouchard Aîne & Fils, Cuvée Signature is the ultimate expression of our style and know-how. These “micro-cuvées” express the richness of the finest terroirs of Burgundy in all their intensity and finesse.
Pommard is one of the most famous villages in the Côte de Beaune. The 22.2 acre Premier Cru vineyard “Les Charmots” is located just north of the village. Its name comes from the “charmes” or hornbeam trees that once grew there. This vineyard produces magnificent Pinot Noir.
2017 CHASSAGNE-MONTRACHET 1er Cru
Extensive marble quarries, which form a kind of cliff face, were the source of the pink and beige flagstones which went into the building of the Trocadéro in Paris and more recently the Louvre Pyramid. The Chassagne-Montrachet controlled appellation dates from 1937. It includes some plots in the neighbouring village of Remigny which shares the same soil conditions.
2017 BEAUNE "Les Marconnets" 1er Cru
A "village" appellation which takes its name from the town of Beaune. It covers 450 hectares, 322 of which are classified as Premier Cru. The right to use the words "Premier Cru" is a distinction granted to certain climats whose wines are traditionally highly regarded. These climats (the Burgundian word for a specific plot) are specially delimited. Only 11% of wines produced in Burgundy can claim this honour. The "Les Marconnets"climat extends over 9.39 hectares.
2016 ARBOIS VIN JAUNE
The wine’s long maturation in oak barrels helps achieve its wonderful deep, limpid golden colour. It is very intense nose contains a range of aromas: cooked apple, curry, saffron and walnut. Its mouthfeel has a lively, powerful and well-formed attack. The mouthfeel confirms the aromas in the nose, providing a remarkable range of flavours: fresh walnut, curry, green apple, dried fruit and saffron. A grandiose finish.
Vin Jaune undergoes a specific ‘film’ maturation technique to produce its priceless nectar.
Tasting rituals
Great wines have memory! And the Vin Jaune’s memory is amazing! It remembers the oceans that covered the Jura region millions years ago: iodized memories, with dreams of ancient marine sediments that surface at the heart of this great wine’s minerality. Pairing oysters and Vin Jaune is the promise of strong, organic and original accords.
2015 ARBOIS TROUSSEAU
In order to create a harmonious Arbois Trousseau, we selected our best plots. The soils are very varied: Bajocian limestones, calcareous scree and marls on the plots attached to the hillside, to various clays, Lias and Trias on lands further forward, of variable depth but always sitting on Marls which may be exposed.
A patchwork of complex terroirs articulated around multiple faults.
The Jura wine region is small in size but large in its remarkable diversity. It covers 80 kilometres between Burgundy and Switzerland, in the eastern France. The Arbois AOC is the oldest and largest of the Jura's four geographic AOCs. In particular, it was France's first AOC (created in 1937).
