2016 Oregon Pinot Noir
The 2016 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir highlights the ripeness and concentration of the vintage with an uncommon grace and style. The compelling nose opens with vibrant notes of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry, raspberry, strawberry, red current, plum, thyme, sage and baking spices. The scents are lifted by lingering rose petal and violet aromas, while deeper notes of graphite, leather, and pipe tobacco bring depth. On the palate, the wine echoes the initial aromatics with juicy flavors of blue and red fruits and hints of secondary flavors like chocolate malt, duke de leche, coffee and a bit of earthiness. As the wine continues across the palate, it grows in breadth and richness with a density and concentration that is impressive. Supple tannins and refreshing acidity give shape and structure to the weight of the fruit harmonizing nicely and leading to a long finish ending on flavors of blue fruits and spice. Soft, inviting, and light on its feet, the 2016 A to Z Pinot Noir is built for midterm aging and will drink great over the next 5 years .

The 2014 was one of the most particular and unique years for Casanova di
Neri. Meticulous canopy management and cluster selection were used to maintain an excellent health of the grapes. Harvest began during the third week of September with strict hand sorting and grape selection to get only the healthiest and best ripened bunches.
Manual selection of the grapes before and after de-stemming, followed by a spontaneous fermentation using only indigenous yeast. Maceration is assisted by a gravity system, and everything is carried out inside open cone-shaped and temperature controlled fermenters for 23 days

Farmhouse White
This unique blend was cold-fermented in stainless steel tanks without malolactic fermentation. Following fermentation, the wine underwent a light filtration to preserve the flavors of the fruit and varietal characteristics. When selecting grapes for this wine, we were particularly conscious of the intensity of the fruit, the acid balance, and the characteristics each varietal offered to the blend as a whole. The final wine delivers bright, crisp flavors of tropical fruit and lime with a fresh, clean finish.
Farmhouse Red
This juicy red is full-bodied with flavors of plums, dark berries and chocolate. Tannins are smooth and luscious and should age well into the future. Ideal for pairing with medium to full flavored foods such as a good steak or Ahi Tuna with a tomato-based sauce.
Cashmere Red
A blend of Mourvedre, Syrah, & Grenache combine for seductive flavors of cherry and plum intermingled with secondary notes of black pepper and cooking spice.
The majority of the grapes for the 2017 vintage come from our vineyards in Contra Costa County. Grenache comes from three vineyards in Oakley, where grape clusters are meticulously thinned to concentrate the flavors in the fruit. Warm-grown Contra Costa Syrah provides rich berry character and good tannin structure. Mourvèdre vines are planted in sandy soil and are dry-farmed, providing luscious notes of chocolate and cherry.
Cashmere Black Magic
This wine is big bodied with good tannic structure and giant flavors of cherries, vanilla, and dark roast coffee.
Contra Costa County provides the Lion’s Share of the grapes for this blend. The sunny and warm climate coupled with deep sandy soil and limited rainfall create grapes of great flavor intensity and dark color.
The North Coast Merlot provides a bright cherry and herbal character and excellent tannin.
Cashmere White
Bright flavors of pear, apples and apricots along with delicate floral and orange notes make this wine both refreshing and complex.
The majority of the grapes for this blend come from our estate vineyards along the Sonoma Coast AVA. Overnight fog and afternoon winds in this appellation allow the Chardonnay and Pinot Gris grapes to ripen slowly and develop intense flavors. We chose Muscat Canelli grapes from select vineyards in the warm growing region of Contra Costa County. One of the oldest recorded varietals, Muscat Canelli lends fruit flavors and floral aromas to the finished blend. Viognier grapes were selected from vineyards in Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake County.
